Denver Broncos vs. San Francisco 49ers Consensus

The public is betting on the 49ers in this game. A last look at the NFL betting consensus site, 62% of the money is being bet on the 49ers. When betting on a preseason game there is plenty of things to consider.

Like, who will play and the game plan that will be applied could come into play for this game.

One thing to consider is that these teams will meet in the regular season. In week 7 these two teams will meet in Denver so they could easily hold back, not to reveal anything. One of the things that the Broncos will be focusing on is who will play great at the safety position. This is one position that is up for grabs on this team.
The 49ers will also have plenty of things to look out for in this game.

The 49ers picked up Jonathan Martin in the offseason to help out on the offensive line, but he has not impressed. Many of the starters may not play deep in this game. 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick isn’t likely to play more than a series or two.

“It’s going to be the same plan going into this game,” Harbaugh said Friday. “I can’t just say the starters are playing this amount or the starters on defense are playing this amount or certain backups are playing this amount. It’s more individualized to each player, each position.”

With his team having practiced with the Ravens in the days leading up to the preseason opener, Harbaugh isn’t as pressed to play his starters as he might have been. That means Gabbert and Johnson will get extended looks as they continue their competition for the backup job. Gabbert has not looked good, despite what you read.

We won’t see a lot of Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning on Sunday—perhaps a drive or two before he gives way to backups Brock Osweiler and Zac Dysert.

Denver Broncos vs. San Francisco 49ers Trends

Both teams have positive football betting trends headed into this game. The Broncos are 4-1 ATS in the last five road games and 8-2 ATS in the last ten games on grass. Meanwhile, the 49ers are 11-5 ATS in the last 16 games overall.

Denver Broncos vs. San Francisco 49ers Predictions

The 49ers are still working on many things, especially on the offensive side of the ball. The 49ers’ O-line struggled against Baltimore and won’t want to repeat the same mistakes it made just over a week ago.
This means players like Jonathan Martin and Daniel Kilgore will have to perform better. Further fueling the question is the health of players like Martin, Anthony Davis and Adam Snyder—all of whom were absent from practice at portions this week. The Broncos defense is using this game as a measuring stick and they will do enough to get the job done.
The Broncos take down the 49ers in a big Sunday game.

Predicted Final:
Broncos 27
49ers 17
