The sports betting consensus numbers show that just 41% of the public is betting on the Broncos in this game. That is surprising considering the popularity of Manning. In fact many experts believe that Manning can lead the Broncos to a Super Bowl this year. That is yet to be seen, but it has been fun to watch him work in this Denver offense.
The no-huddle is something that the Broncos are not used to, but Manning is making it look good.

However in this game, Manning and the starters on offense may not play as long as most units in the third week of the preseason. Peyton Manning suggested that he and the rest of the team’s starters may get more time on the bench than usual. Manning told the Denver Post that, while the starters haven’t been told how long they’ll play on Sunday against the 49ers, they might not be in the game as long because they were in longer than expected against the Seahawks in Week 2 of the preseason.
The biggest concern for the Broncos may not be the offense, but the defense. The Broncos defense is coming off a preseason game filled with missed tackles from the starters on down last weekend when the Seahawks largely pounded the heart of the Broncos defense for much of the team’s 228 yards rushing.
The 49ers sport one of the biggest offensive fronts in the league with the five starters going 6-foot-5, 6-5, 6-3, 6-8 and 6-5 with four of the players tipping the scales at 315 pounds or more. This will be a big cause of concern for the Broncos as the 49ers will be able to move the ball early and often.
In fact Broncos head coach has even suggested that the team isn’t particularly focused on its opponent at the moment.
“We’re still in camp mode,” Head Coach John Fox said. “We’re still installing, so we’re not really game-planning and working against San Francisco.”
The Broncos are not concerned with winning this ballgame and they are more concerned with working on the fundamentals such as dropped passes and missed tackles. The 49ers will not get much of a challenge and they will win this preseason game against Manning and the Broncos.
