#5 Wake Forest (+6) over Notre Dame
The Demon Deacons are at home and have a chance to pull off the upset in this game. The Fighting Irish are in a tough scheduling spot as they are looking ahead to a game against the top ranked Stanford Cardinal. The Irish are 2-6 against the spread (ATS) in the last eight games overall and they get upset on Saturday.
#4 Alabama (-25) over Texas A&M
I never advise to drop this much chalk when betting on college football, but this is a statement game for the Crimson Tide. When making our college football week 4 ATS picks, we have to talk Alabama football. They get to show the world that they are as good as advertised and betting on the Aggies looks too good to be true. The Aggies played Clemson tough, but that was at home and this is in Alabama. The Aggies are 20-47-1 ATS in their last 68 road games against a team with a winning home record and this game will be a blowout.
#3 Oregon (+3) over Stanford
Stanford opened as a road underdog and that switched and they are now a road favorite. Stanford went 0-3-1 ATS with two outright losses in its four games as a road favorite last season. If you live on the East coast you may not realize just how big of a rivalry this is. Oregon has Justin Herbert who will be in New York for the Heisman presentation this year. They are a different team with him in the lineup and they average over 40 points a game. This is the Super Bowl for the Ducks and they win this game.
#2 Texas +3 over TCU
Many are looking for TCU to rebound after the game against the Buckeyes but I am looking for a hangover. Texas is off a big win, but the public aint buying in as over 70 percent of the best are on the road ranked team. The Horned Frogs are just 1-4 ATS when playing a team with a winning record and Tom Herman has been a solid bet as an underdog. He is 10-1 ATS with seven outright wins as an underdog in his head coaching career. Texas wins again.
And the #1 Best bet is…………
#1 Kentucky (+9) over Mississippi State
This is a game where the wise guys are looking at the home team and losers are backing the road ranked team. The Wildcats are just getting 41 percent of the best but the line dropped from (-10) to (-9). This means the big money is on the Wildcats. Mark Stoops is asking his team to play a very physical game so look for an inspired performance. The home team is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings and the Wildcats and Mississippi State is on upset alert.
