Are the Buccaneers Super Bowl Bound with Tom Brady?
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers Super Bowl chances vastly improved in the off-season. Outside of the pandemic, the biggest news in the NFL over the last few months is all about the Buccaneers. The Patriots parted ways with Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady and the Buccaneers were happy to welcome him with open arms. The Patriots have moved on with Cam Newton, but are the Bucs ready for the next level? Are the Buccaneers Super Bowl bound with Tom Brady?
Drastic Odds change
The Buccaneers could not wait to show off their new QB in their uniform, but that wasn’t the only change. When the announcement was made that Brady would be joining the Bucs, the top-rated sports betting sites changed the odds immediately. Tampa Bay’s futures dropped from 25/1 to 20/1 to win the Super Bowl, and from 12/1 down to 10/1 to win the NFC. Since then the odds dropped again. The odds will only increase if the Buccaneers bring in Antonio Brown.
The Buccaneers odds are currently 9/1 to win the Super Bowl.
Brady may be getting older, but he has plenty of talent in Tampa Bay. In fact, some consider the Buccaneers receiving corps to be the best in the NFL. Mike Evans and Chris Godwin join up with the new addition of Rob Gronkowski to pair with the two solid receiving options at tight end already in O.J. Howard and Cameron Brate. The offensive weapons will not be an excuse if Brady fails.
Brady vs Brees
If Brady is going to improve the Buccaneers Super Bowl chances he will have to get by Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints. It may be surprising to some, but the Buccaneers are (+4) underdogs to the Saints in the first week of the NFL season. Winning in New Orleans is a difficult task for any team, but if Brady is able to pull off this feat in week 1 the Buccaneer believers will be out in full force!
If you truly believe that Brady is the answer now is the time to bet on the Buccaneers. The Super Bowl odds have already decreased with hype of the upcoming season. The smart bettor that likes the Bucs will bet now so they don’t lose value. If Brady beats Brees in the opener, the odds will drop for the Buccaneers. It’s going to be a great year and it will be very interesting to see if Brady can get the job done.
