Thursday Night NFL
New York Jets vs Cleveland Browns
The NFL week 3 ATS picks for every game have to start with the Thursday night game. The Browns are favorites for the first time in three years. The Jets and Sam Darnold have to get ready on a short week. So who has the edge? Since this is a standalone game I had to write a full article on this game. Read it now and get the free pick against the spread.
Indianapolis Colts vs Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles get back Carson Wentz under center and that means the Eagles are going to get the public betting all over this team. Over 70 percent is betting on Wentz to be healthy and ready to go. Meanwhile the Colts are playing some good football. Despite losing to the Bengals in week one, they always start off games with a bang. They have outscored opponents 30-13 in the first half of football games. The Colts have covered five of the last six games against the Eagles and Andrew Luck will outplay Wentz in this game.
New Orleans Saints vs Atlanta Falcons
When making teh NFL week 3 ATS picks for every game, you have to consider this classic rivalry. The Saints only beat the Browns because their field goal kicker choked on more than one occasion. The Saints have always played well away from home as they are 14-5 ATS in the last 19 road games and that includes 9-1-1 ATS in the last 11 road games as a underdog of three points or more. This rivalry game is always heated and it always comes down to the wire. I expect another close game, with the Saints sneaking out a victory against the Falcons.
Green Bay Packers vs Washington Redskins
Aaron Rodgers comes limping into Washington to take on the Redskins. This low point spread will attract plenty of Packers money, but don’t be fooled. The Packers defense is beatable. They don’t rush the quarterback well and they have a weak secondary which the Redskins will be able to expose. The Redskins are 5-1 against the spread (ATS) after a loss and they are a dangerous underdog this week. Last week I hit my “Sucker bet of the week†and this week the Redskins get that honor.
Chicago Bears vs Arizona Cardinals
Watching the Bears beat up the Seahawks on Monday night football will make this team a popular bet against the offensively challenged Arizona Cardinals. However, the Bears looked shaky on offense and now have to travel to the desert to take on the desperate Cardinals who are desperate for a win. Micth Trubisky is turnover prone ( two turnovers in five plays) and the Cardinals will be able to get to him in this game. The Bears are 6-16-1 ATS in their last 23 games after allowing less than 90 yards rushing in their previous game and the Cardinals are 15-6-1 ATS in their last 22 games after allowing more than 250 yards passing in their previous game. Arizona gets the offense in gear and they have a realistic shot at the upset win.
La Chargers vs LA Rams
The Rams are favorites to win the Super Bowl after a quick start, but who have they played really? A struggling Raiders team and an awful Cardinals team? The Chargers offense is clicking under
Phillip Rivers. He’s completing 73.1 percent of his passes (57 of 78) for 680 yards with six touchdowns and only one pick for a 119.6 passer rating. He ranks third in the NFL in touchdowns, fourth in total yards, completion percentage and passer rating and sixth in completions. The Chargers defense has been impressive and actually has more sacks than the Rams. The NFL public is betting on the Rams blindly at this point and that is a mistake. The Rams are 18-37-1 ATS in their last 56 games in September and 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games after accumulating more than 350 total yards in their previous game. This number is too high and I will be on the Bolts plus the points.
Steelers vs Buccaneers
The Monday Night Football game features the Steelers and the Buccaneers and two teams heading into two different directions. Are the Bucs for real? We have a betting breakdown for this game complete with a full write up and a free pick against the spread! Get the article and pick here!
