When these two teams take to the field for the first game of the season there will be several changes on both sides of the football.
The Louisville Cardinals have perhaps one of the biggest changes as they have a new head coach heading into this season. Bobby Petrino returns to roost after Charlie Strong departed for the Texas job.
Despite the changes, the oddsmakers still believe that the Cardinals are the better team.
Miami Hurricanes vs. Louisville Cardinals Odds
The latest college football betting odds for this game reveal that the Cardinals are (-4) point favorites according to Bet Online, the most trusted online sportsbook to bet on college football.
One of the reasons for this point spread is due to the fact that Miami has a quarterback battle on their hands.

The quarterback, once he is chosen, will have a talented group of wide receivers to throw too.

Meanwhile the Cardinals are getting ready to implement the high octane attack that is a staple of Petrino. They still have room to grow as they learn the offense but it has given plenty of reasons for Cardinal fans to get excited.
Petrino says team has playmakers. Biggest challenge is getting offense to believe they can score every time they take the field.

The Louisville defense will have a big test on their hands as they will have to try and slow down running back Duke Johnson.
Miami (FL) was 7-1 last season in games that Duke Johnson played with its only loss coming against Florida State. #25DaysToGameDay

The one thing that is in favor of the Hurricanes is that they have some serious revenge heading into this game. They were embarrassed a year ago losing the Russell Athletic Bowl 36-9. This game will be one of the best games of week one as the Hurricanes pull off the upset in dramatic fashion.
