Minnesota Vikings vs Detroit Lions

The Vikings are one of the best teams in football, but the Lions are sneaky good. Matthew Stafford keeps this team in it every week. The Lions already beat the Vikings and look for the season sweep. It won’t be easy against a Vikings defense that is fourth in points allowed. The underdog is 9-3-1 against the spread (ATS) in the last 13 meetings and Stafford will keep this one close going into the fourth quarter. The Lions are 9-1-1 ATS in their last 11 games in November and they are the first winner of the Thanksgiving Day NFL games.

LA Chargers vs Dallas Cowboys

These two teams seem to be trending in opposite directions as the Cowboys are crashing down to earth while the Chargers are soaring. The Chargers are a different team on the road and they have wins against two bad teams in the Raiders and the Giants. The Cowboys thrive against losing teams as they have covered five of the last 6 games against teams with a losing record. Although Sean Lee will not play for Dallas, Tyron Smith, Anthony Hitchens and Dan Bailey all have a chance to play. The Cowboys are getting healthy at the right time.

New York Giants vs Washington Redskins

The Giants are a very bad team, but they are still playing hard and will get up for the game against the division rivals in the Redskins.  The Redskins are trying to recoup and recover on a short week after an overtime loss. They have lost four of the last five games and will be without their top pass catcher in Chris Thompson. The Redskins are 0-4 ATS against the NFC East and just 1-6 ATS in the last seven games at home. The Redskins are not good enough to be this big of a favorite. When it comes to Thanksgiving Day NFL games the underdogs are the way to go.
