Philadelphia Sixers vs Miami Heat
Joel Embiid is back in the lineup and when the Sixers win in this series, they win big. So those that are making their Saturday NBA playoff picks against the spread might be surprised to see that the Sixers are just (-3.5) point favorites. The Heat were closer in the last game then it looked as they were blown out in the fourth quarter. The home team has been money in this series as they are 7-3-1 ATS in the last 11 games in this series. The Heat are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a double-digit loss at home and the 76ers are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games after scoring more than 125 points in their previous game. The Heat comes back in front of the home fans and even up the series.
Portland Trail Blazers vs New Orleans Pelicans
The Trail Blazers are in trouble and they are on the brink of elimination. We knew this could happen when we made our best bets at the start of the playoffs. It is easy to back the Pelicans as (-7) point favorites because they have dominated this series. However Damian Lillard did a boss move by calling out his own teammates and challenging them to be more aggressive and even get in altercations if needed. This has jumped a full point and a half since the opener as money is flooding in on the Pelicans. The Pelicans will come into this game expecting a sweep, while the Blazers will be looking for a dog fight. That will make this game closer than the experts think.
Houston Rockets vs Minnesota Timberwolves
This series is ugly. The wolves have looked like they are playing in a different league as the Rockets have dominated this series. But now we head to Minnesota. This makes a huge difference in the playoffs and we saw that in Washington and Milwaukee. The Rockets are the most lopsided public play today with over 78% of the bets on Houston. The Timberwolves are 15-7-1 ATS in their last 23 home games and the Rockets for as good as they are, they are 0-4 ATS in the last four road games. When it comes to the Saturday NBA playoff picks against the spread, this is the best bet.The Wolves win this game.
Oklahoma City Thunder vs Utah Jazz
The Jazz stole a game on the road and will now look to take the lead in this series in the finale on Saturday night. Donavan Mitchell has been a stud in this series and he will be the player to watch again in this series. Mitchell has played well but, there is another player to watch. Derrick Favors is stealing the show by averaging a double-double. The home team has dominated this series with a 19-9 ATS record in the last 28 meetings. Although the public is betting on Russell Westbrook and the Thunder, the point spread is moving towards the Jazz. That means the smart money is on the Jazz and so are we.
