Ball State vs Toledo predictions
Toledo is the better college football team. That is obvious when you see that they are (-18) point favorites for this spooky game. The problem is they have to get ready on a short week and they have some concerning injuries,
most notably to quarterback Mitch Guadagni. Guadagni has a banged up throwing shoulder and his availability could make this a much different game. Eli Peters is a capable QB that has had some playing time this season, but it could make this game more interesting than the spread would indicate.
The Ball State Cardinals have some big issues especially on defense. Last week they were torched by the Ohio Bobcats. Ohio put up over 400 yards on the ground as they scored 52 points against the Cardinals. The Cardinals are 6-0 ATS in the last six meetings in Toledo, but that was then and this is now. It’s too difficult to trust a Ball State team that is 3-10 ATS in the last 13 games following a loss and plays no defense. It is always tough to lay this many points in a college football game, but the only play is Toledo.
