The NCAA Tournament first round best bets include games for Thursday and Friday in the big dance.
NCAA Tournament first round best bets Thursday March 16
The first round is all about picking underdogs and Florida Gulf Coast has a recent history of pulling off the upsets so it makes sense that they are getting love by the sports betting public. With only 19% of the bets on the Seminoles they have the value in this game. They are very deep and they feature multiple players that will be in the NBA. The Eagles don’t have the ability to score in the
paint against the Noles and the Eagles will be worn down and blown out on day one of the tournament.

NCAA Tournament first round best bets Friday March 17th
Friday has another great underdog that we believe will have no problem pulling off the upset but the NCAA Tournament first round best bets that we are going to talk about for Friday is all about the chalk. The best bets consider two SEC Teams on Friday.
The Gamecocks have this on their side. No. 7 seeds are 11-5 outright against No. 10 seeds since 2013, with favorites going 10-6. Favorites were even better at 10-1 straight up and 7-4 against the spread (ATS). South Carolina plays tough (and ugly defense and that will make things very tough on Marquette. This is the worst possible matchup for the Golden Eagles. The Gamecocks are 19-7-1 ATS in their last 27 non-conference games and the win in the first round.
The Hogs are another team that has an advantage in their first round matchup. The Hogs are deep with Dusty Hannahs, Daryl Macon, Jaylen Barford and Moses Kingsley. The Pirates are all about junior forward Angel Delgado, who leads the nation with 26 double-doubles and 13.1 rebounds per game. The Pirates don’t have enough talented bodies to stop the depth of the Hogs. Once you get past the two best players on the team in Delagdo and Khadeen Carrington, the Pirates don’t have much. The Razorbacks are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall and they carry that over to the first round of the tournament with a big win.
