First let me start by saying this will not be another story about the tragedy that plagued Tuscaloosa last April, and how it will inspire the Tide to win. (All 2011 College Football Previews Here)As devastating as it was, I have learned, quite recently in fact, that moving on is easier than it looks. I am not being callous, my heart goes out to the people who suffered from the results of that fateful day. May you find peace!
Books have Alabama listed as +600,second to Oklahoma +325 to win the BCS Championship. Also the Tide is listed as -105 to win the SEC West and +210 to win the SEC Championship. Check out all the latest odds atBetJamacia and 5Dimes
These odds indicate that spite the loss of QB Greg McElroy, RB Mark Ingram and WR Julio Jones the Tide are primed to make yet another national title run

In 2010 Alabama averaged 35 points and 444 yards per game and went 10-2 on the season. Their offense has seven returning starters and RB Trent Richardson, who had 700 rushing yards, six touchdowns and averaged 6.25 yards per carry is ready to fill the shoes of Ingram.
WR’s Marquis Maze and Darius Hanks will also be good assets for whomever gets the starting job at QB…AJ McCarron or Phillip Sims.
The only returning starter to the defensive line is NT Josh Chapman, but they have depth and the LB corps will step up and prove that Nick Saban has mastered the 3-4 defense. Coupled with arguably the best secondary in the nation, that has all four starters returning, this defense will be better than it was last year.
Predictions:
- 12-0
- Alabama Crimson Tide win the SEC Conference
- Alabama Crimson Tide win the BCS Championship
- Defending BCS Champions, Auburn Tigers will finish 6th in the SEC West
- SS Mark Barron will lead the SEC in tackles by a DB with 75 solo, 30 assisted.

That is a lot of on the field leadership to replace on offense. YOu are right that Trent Richardson will caryy the load and that defense is stacked, but don’t forget about LSU. Even though LSU has to travel to Tuscaloosa, they cannot be written off; Les Miles will have his team ready to play.
